Denpasar was the capital of the kingdom of Badung. It was conquered by the Dutch during the Dutch intervention in Bali (1906). The royal palace was looted and razed by the Dutch, leaving today' scentral square "Taman Puputan" in which a statue to the 1906 Puputan can be seen. Denpasar eventually also remains the administrative center of the Regency of Badung and Denpasar even starting in 1958 also made the seat of government for the Province of Bali. Bali experienced rapid growth both in terms of physical, economic, social and cultural rights.The physical state of Denpasar and the surrounding area has been developed in such a life of its people and also have a lot of shows characteristics and urban properties. Denpasar was the seat of government, center of commerce, education centers, industrial centers and tourist center.

Denpasar Traditional Market is the place for those who want to see the everyday life. Taman Ayun Temple located in Mengwi Districts, Taman Ayun means a beautiful water garden. It was built in 1634 by I Gusti Agung Anom, the King of Mengwi as a center of the temples in the whole kingdom. This place is a symbol of Bhuana Alit (Micro cosmos) and Bhuana Agung (Macro cosmos), and until these days this place is still used as place to worship God Shiva. Based on Hindu’s Religion, The world is divided into three parts, the upper world, the middle world, and the lower world. In this case, Taman Ayun has 9 meru which has many stages. Two of 4 stages meru arededicated to Gods in Mt Agung and Mt Batur, While, the others seven stages meru are dedicated to Bhatara Majapahit. The pool that surrounds this temple is a symbol of the sea. Alas Kedaton is a small forest with the width about 6-7ha located in the middle of the rice field in Tabanan regency, west part of Bali. The total size of this forest, temple and its supporter facility is about 12 ha. In this forest, there is a temple called Alas Kedaton Temple and owns the natural environments that is looked green with its fresh air and create the calm, quite and holy atmosphere. There are hundred of monkeys in this forest and high up on the big trees many bats area hanging and singing with their loud voices.Entrance ticket is IDR 10,000/person. Jatiluwih is a favorite tourist destination in Bali famous with the beautiful rice terrace unfolding from the foot of mountain until the coastal side. Despitefully, Jatiluwih also famous with its organic agriculture system due to the location is located in the in the plateau of Watukaru Mount which is suitable for the agriculture development. The name of Jatiuwih comes from 2 Balinese words jati + luwih. Jati means real, and luwih means beautiful or excellent. It's hard to imagine that these rice fields are made by hand. They were created in this way because land became scarce and the Balinese were urged to divide land into several patches of land leading into a close organization among the farmers called the "subak".Entrance Ticket is IDR 10.000/ person. Tanah Lot Temple is beautiful temple for amazing sunset. The temple perched on a little rocky islet. This temple was built in 16th century by the Javanese priest Danghyang Nirartha who built many big temple near the sea around the island such as Rambut Siwi Temple in west of Bali, Pulaki Temple and Ponjok Batu Temple in North of Bali. In western side there are small temple built one of the templein the top rock with hole it’s Batu Bolong Temple, Batu it’s mean Rock and Bolong it’s mean hole. at this temple you can experience blessing by temple spring holy water and see tame ” holy ” sea snake, “temple guard”. Entrance ticket is IDR 30,000 /person.
